Reformed church
Building, structure
The Reformed church in the center of the village was built in 1784 in the classicist style, its tower was completed in 1791. It was expanded and renovated in 1817 and 1911. Its special feature is the shape of the Greek cross on the ground plan, due to which the building is protected as a monument. The most famous preacher of the congregation so far is Mihály Katona, active in the early 19th century (1803–1822), who was also the greatest Hungarian geographer of his time. His memory is faithfully cherished by the village today, his grave is laid with wreaths twice a year in a ceremonial setting, and the school, which took the name of the distinguished personality a few years ago, holds Mihály Katona Days.
