The Zalaba congregation is one of the smallest congregations in the Bars diocese, a daughter church of Ipolypásztó. The church of Zalaba, with a population of 177, was built in 1789, and a tower was added in 1845. Concerts, festivals, poetry festivals, anniversaries, national holidays and much more take place in the village and the church, and the congregation plays its part in everything.
