Puszta Church (Old Church)
Building, structure
The former chronicler Vince Pölhös noted that the plain church was built in the same century as the Ipolybalog and Szécsény churches, i.e. in the 11th century. Although it was destroyed by the Tatars, it was later rebuilt... Its title was Mindenszentek. According to the Hungarian Catholic Encyclopedia, the parish of the village certainly existed in 1291. Elsewhere it is written that the village was called Eghazaschalomia based on its church, which can be dated from 1244. The church scholar of our region, Arnold Ipolyi, also wrote about the old Csalomgya church several times. Referring to it, local historian Antal Gyürky writes that the church is a Pázmány Hunt building, i.e. it could be even older than the aforementioned date. ; There is a crypt under the church. Its walls have been significantly destroyed. In 2007, archaeological excavations were carried out under it and its surroundings were cleaned up."
