The grave of conductor László Pokstaller (* 1934. Aug. 26. Bratislava, † 2000. Jun. 27. Somorja). ; He finished elementary school in Somorja, then graduated as a dental technician at a secondary school for health care, and worked in his profession until his death. He completed his musical studies at the Bratislava Conservatory between 1962 and 1968, majoring in trumpet. From 1968 to 1993, he taught as a teacher at the Somorja Elementary School of Arts, teaching wind instruments. Starting in 1952, he led the Wind Orchestra of the City Fire Department and other semi-professional orchestras for 10 years. From 1972, he was the conductor of the Híd Mixed Choir. Between 1978 and 1989, he was a member of the Central Singing and Music Committee, and from 1990, of the Society of Hungarian Music Lovers in Czechoslovakia. He initiated the tradition of Advent concerts in Somorja. In 1988, he organized the 1st Csallóközi Choir Camp in Somorja. Under his leadership, the choir was a regular participant in the Kodály Days in Galanta, where they were awarded the gold wreath on several occasions. In 1985, he received the "Meritorious Worker of Culture" award. In 2000, the city of Somorja posthumously awarded him the Pro Urbe award.
