The pillared house on the upper street of the village, opposite the church, is the oldest building in the village, 400 years old. It was once the hunting lodge of the Esztergom archdiocese, church property. It currently houses a parish office. There is a black memorial plaque on the wall. In the former stable building in its courtyard, people prayed and held masses before the church was built. ; Two sets of stairs lead to the beautifully renovated building, one from the street, the other from the courtyard. Its surroundings are also well-kept. ; The chief priest, PhDr. István Lestár, was a provost with coats of arms. ; (* 1899. Gyerk, † 1973. March 5. Óvár) He completed his studies in Nagyszombat and Esztergom, and then completed his studies at the Pázmáneum in Vienna. He was ordained a priest in 1922. Prefect and then director of the Marianum minor seminary in Komárom. From 1937 he was parish priest in Komárom, and in 1939 he was titular provost of the Ipolyság provostship named after the Blessed Virgin. He trained a number of young priests to serve the Hungarian Catholics in Slovakia. He was arrested in February 1949, accused of providing Archbishop József Mindszenty with information about the deportation of Hungarians from the Uplands. After two years of forced labor, he was transferred to Óvár in 1953, where he was parish priest until his death.
