Parish
Building, structure
The parish of the former manorial center existed very early in the 14th century. The current parish building was built on older foundations in the first half of the 19th century, in the classicist style. In front of the two-winged, ground-floor building, there is an open columned porch. Above the main entrance, which ends in a central triangular tympanum, the year of the last repair - 1976 - can be read. Unfortunately, the listed building, which once saw better days, is now in a catastrophic state. Weeds and bushes make the parish, where many excellent pastors once worked, almost invisible. ...for example, Ágoston Fischer (1863-1918), the scholar theologian and church writer, who came here in 1890 and immediately founded several devotional societies, regularly published in the journal Katolikus Hitvédelmi... the village's native Antal Kisfaludy Liptay (1802-1870), doctor of theology, bishop and canon of Esztergom, or István Moyses (1797-1864), a theologian who was educated by the Lipthayas of Szécsénke and later bishop of Bánya Bisztergom. It is a twist of fate that the parish of Szécsénke was abolished by the Bánya Bisztergom bishopric. ; The parish building is currently owned by the village.
