Tomb of Mrs. Károlyné Petrovits

Cemeteries, tombstones, graves

Regarding the years 1848-49, "what we heard from the last branch of the Molnár family of Kis - and Nagy Rétei (from the court clerk Molnár) is that their family was related to the family of Sándor Petőfi, the Petrovits. According to him, Petőfi visited his relatives here when he was in Bratislava in 1848. This is supported by the tombstone still visible today in the Reformed cemetery in Réte with these names: Károly Molnár at the top, Károlyné Petrovits in the middle and Adél Molnár below. Let us accept this information. Why wouldn't a respectfully gray-haired former Hungarian royal court clerk have told the truth?"
