Petrovich Cross
Sacral small monument
The Petrovics Cross, or Ilo Cross, stands on a bend in the main road. The more featureless artificial stone cross was erected by the family of the same name a decade and a half ago. The dedication reads: “We adore and bless you 1993” (2014 data). It is likely that a small sacred monument stood here earlier, and perhaps the name Ilo, which has been passed down through generations, may refer to this. Ilo is the first name of the Péter family, and the Visitations record a cross foundation made by József Péter in 1909.
