Statue, monument, memorial plaque

The first Petőfi monument of the upcoming bicentenary was inaugurated on October 3, 2020 in the poet's mother's birthplace, Necpál. Special thanks for this uplifting act to Mayor Peter Majko (SNS) and Zoltán Lengyel, President of the Hungarian Association of Túróc, to whom Lászó Bukovszky, Government Commissioner for Minorities, presented the Silver Commemorative Medal of the Slovak Republic on this occasion. The ceremonial event was attended by Igor Hus and Peter Vons, members of parliament from OLANO, and Pál Venyercsány, Director of the Hungarian Cultural Institute in Bratislava. ; Organizers and supporters: Sándor Fuksz, Ing.
