13.12.1938 Hungarian National Correspondent: “During the discussion of the series of subjects of the Pest County Assembly, an interesting motion was adopted, which was presented by Dr. Endre Pálházy, the chief clerk. Pest County will place a commemorative plaque in the town of Fülek in memory of the fact that the county held its general assembly in Fülek Castle during the Turkish occupation. The re-annexation of the Highlands will also be immortalized with a commemorative plaque on the wall of the Pest County Hall. The text of the commemorative plaque to be placed in Fülek will be prepared in former archaic writing.” ; ; On June 11, 1939, Pest-Pilis-Solt-Kiskun County (which existed between 1876 and 1950) unveiled a bronze relief placed on a marble base on the back wall of the tower with the following text: It was once a refuge for our ancestors, may its memory be blessed and holy before us. The public of Pest-Pilis-Solt-Kiskun County in 1938. The memorial plaque was damaged by vandals at the end of World War II. The locals renovated it in 2005 and placed it on the outside of the wall of the Bebek Tower.
