Gábor Pávai Vajna (Debrecen, 18 Feb. 1851 – Bratislava, 31 May 1913) was a physician. He obtained his medical degree in 1877 from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Budapest. From 1877 to 1882 he worked at the 2nd Internal Medicine Clinic, and from 1882 he was the chief physician of the Bratislava State Hospital. He was one of the founders and then vice-president of the Bratislava Toldy Ferenc Society, and in 1891 he launched the newspaper Nyugatmagyarországi Híradó. In the 1890s he proposed the idea of organizing a university and a medical faculty in Bratislava. He dealt with public health and epidemiology.
