Pásti or Kopcsányi cross

Sacral small monument

“Where the bakery used to be, Mrs. Vízi had a cross erected. But since the cooperative office was there during communism, they had it brought in from there. [The cooperative bought Mrs. Vízi's house, the cross stood there, and later it was brought to Pástra in front of the bakery.] Now the Páston stands in front of the Nozdrovickys' house. They didn't make it, they just had it brought in from in front of the cooperative so that it would be in a worthy place, because it was a communist world at the time. Originally, Veronika Vízi had it erected, the Nozdrovickys just had it tidied up. Now it's called the Pásti Cross.” (Mrs. Pálné Juhász) ; The straight-stemmed, iron-bodied cross with the inscription INRI can be seen in the middle of a small square surrounded by a white iron fence. On its column is a black marble tablet with the following dedication: “My Jesus / through the merits of your holy wounds / forgive / us / and have mercy / on us”. The cast iron corpus is silver-plated, with Christ's arms spread out, his feet stacked on top of each other, and his head bent forward.
