Memorial plaque for the year of togetherness
Statue, monument, memorial plaque
The most significant event of the Csemadok Nógrád Regional Committee and its constituent organizations in 2020, the Year of Hungarian Unity, was the worthy commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Trianon Peace Dictate. Unfortunately, due to the virus epidemic, the planned programs were only partially implemented. Even so, it was a great pleasure for us that, thanks to the donations of the people of Nógrád, a memorial was inaugurated in Fülekpüspöki on September 30 and a commemorative plaque on the facade of the Hungarian House in Fülek on December 18. The event in Fülek took place amidst strong restrictions. The event began with a recitation by the Csemadok President Zsuzsa Szvorák, then RNDr. Pál Benko, curator of the Fülek Reformed Church Community, gave his festive thoughts. Erika Mihalovics, a member of the management of the Fülek organization, sang the Palóc anthem, then Katalin Nagyferenc, the woodcarver, the maker of the memorial plaque, and Pál Benko jointly unveiled the Trianon memorial plaque. ; The blessing and consecration were celebrated by György Sipos, the parish priest of Fülek. Finally, the enthusiastic handful of audience sang our national prayer together.
