Osgyán Lutheran Church
Building, structure
The Evangelical church of the large village bears the marks typical of the mature classicism of the third decade of the 19th century. It is a north-south axis, rectangular ground plan, single-nave, hipped gabled church. The base of the tower coincides with the base of the northern front wall, therefore its design is more uniform and richer. Its main entrance is emphasized by a risalit. Its Prussian vaulted interior is surrounded on three sides by an arcaded gallery. ; The village had a renowned Evangelical school. The Protestant Gymnasium of Rimaszombat was established in 1853 from the merger of the schools of Osgyán, Gömör and Rimaszombat.
