Szakolca, Nyitra m., 1825. Feb. 21., r. cat. (Probably the same as the son of János Kotasek and Józefa Kovarik named Hermann, baptized in Szakolca on the mentioned day.) Graduated from high school. Unmarried. (His wife became Éva Rozsnyavszky, died Selmecbánya, 1888.) ; 1848. Oct. 10. became a volunteer in the army. 1849. Jul. 28 (Jun. 1.) - first lieutenant in the 11th company of the 2nd army rifle regiment in Magyarléta, Transylvania, takes part in the battles against the Romanian insurgents. In mid-August he falls into Russian captivity near Bánffyhunyad. ; In the 1850s, court clerk. 1861. high school teacher in Selmecbánya (until his death). 1867. member of the Pest city army association. (He was a retired army lieutenant from 1869 to 1877.) † Selmecbánya, 7 Oct. 1882.
