Béla Ordódy (Ordódi of Alsó-Lieszkó), teacher at the Royal State Higher Construction School of the Hungarian Royal Academy, son of István Ordódy, landowner, and Vilma Bartakovics of Kis-Appony, born on May 3, 1856 in Bagota (Komárom County), after completing the eighth grade of the Budapest High School of the Order of Grace, in 1874 he continued his studies at the Budapest Technical University, where he received an engineering diploma. In 1881 he was appointed as an engineer trainee to the Hungarian Royal Railway Inspectorate, participated in the marking works of the Trenčín-Zsolnay railway, from 1882-85 he was assigned to the marking and construction works of the Budapest-Újszőny railway as an assistant and section engineer, and upon completion of this he was appointed to the m. He was assigned to the construction department of the State Railways Directorate. In 1886 he was appointed as a full-time teacher of architecture at the then Budapest State Secondary Industrial School (today the Royal Hungarian State Higher Industrial School) and when the construction department of this institute was organized into an independent school in 1898: the Budapest Royal Hungarian State Higher Industrial School, he was transferred there. (Lithographs made for the use of students of the Higher Industrial School). ; ; On October 13, 1920, Komáromi Lapok announced the death of Béla Ordódy to its readers: "Béla Ordódy, ministerial advisor and landowner of Bagota, we are sorry to inform you that after a long period of suffering, he passed away on the 7th of February in Bagota. The deceased played a role in the public life of Komárom County for a long time as a member of the legislative committee, although most of his work was spent in Budapest. He was an excellent teacher at the state secondary industrial school for a long time, and then as a class advisor, he moved to the Ministry of Trade, where he worked in the field of industrial development. As a ministerial advisor, he retired and farmed his family's ancient estate in Bagota. His death overtook him here, which plunged his extensive and distinguished relatives into mourning. His funeral took place on Sunday, with the undivided sympathy of the entire region. We have received the following obituary of the deceased: widow Béláné Ordódy Vilma Kvassay and her children: István, Mária, Béla, Miklós, Vilma, Kálmán and Ilona as well as widow Jenőé Kvassay, Baron Margit Barkóczy, István Kvassy, Mártha Kvassay, Károlyné Sajó, Hilia Kvassay and her husband Károly Sajó on their own behalf and on behalf of all their relatives, with a heart broken by pain, announce that their beloved, blessed husband, their dear father, and brother-in-law Béla Ordódy, Ministerial Councilor for Trade, Landowner of Ordódy and Alsólieszko, passed away peacefully in the Lord on October 7, 2015, at 10 a.m. in Bagóta, in the 65th year of his life and the 31st year of his happy marriage, after a difficult suffering. The deceased's remains will be laid to rest on October 10, 2015, at 4:00 p.m. At 9:00 a.m., according to the ceremony of the Hungarian Orthodox Church, he will be consecrated in the family chapel in Bagota and from there he will be placed in the family tomb for eternal rest. The Holy Sacrifice of the Atonement Mass will be presented to the Almighty in Bagota on October 11, 1920, at 9:00 a.m. CET. ; Dated in Bagota, October 7, 1920. ; May eternal light shine upon him!" ; ; On the tombstone to the right of Béla Ordódy's tombstone, we can read the name of his wife, Vilma Kvassay, and to the left, the damaged tombstone of his father, István Ordódy, a centurion in the Hungarian Army in 1848/49 and chief prosecutor of Komárom, can be seen.
