Grave of publicist Sándor Neszméri

A defining figure in the journalism and public life of the Highlands, a publicist. He was born on November 17, 1952 in Alsószeli (Galántai district). He graduated from the Hungarian Gymnasium in Galánta (1971), and then in Poland, at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, he obtained a degree in history. He was a colleague and manager of several Highland newspapers (among others: Nő, Új Ifjúság, Szabad Újság, Önkormányzati Szemle). His name was well known in Hungary as well, he was the Bratislava correspondent of Duna Televízió for years, and the chief contributor to the daily newspaper Magyar Nemzet in Slovakia. His public activity was also significant, he played a defining role in Csemadok for years. ; He is buried in the same grave with his tragically deceased son, Tamás.
