At the time of the 1847 church visit, there were already five statues in Vága. In front of the church entrance, there was a stone cross and a statue of St. John of Nepomuk. In addition, there was a statue of the Holy Trinity in the village, a Fakerezt on the border of Vágszerdahely and the Vága, and the statue of St. Florian erected as a votive monument in 1827. ; St. John of Nepomuk is the patron saint of rivers, bridges, sailors, water millers, and fishermen. The village of Vága lies in the embrace of the Vág River, and its population also fought its own battle against fire and flood. The name of the Vág River and the village of Vága are the same, the origin of the word is the same, but the original meaning is uncertain. Sticking to the Latin interpretation: Vág - winding river, and Vága is a village built between the bends, swamps, and branches of the Vág River.
