The cross of Mrs. János Nemcsok
Sacral small monument
On the right side of the road leading to Bátorfalu, in the small garden in front of house number 137, you can see the cross of Mrs. Jánosné Nemcsok, an iron-bodied, artificial stone crucifix with the inscription INRI. The rectangular column stands on a two-step base, the top of which is equipped with a capital. On that, a square artificial stone, the cross with a rounded stem end stands. The inscription on the column reads: “Thus / God / loved the world”. Above the dedication, a porcelain Christ head can be seen. The cast-iron corpus is grayish-white, with a dark brown loincloth on it. Christ’s head with the crown of thorns is turned to the right, the hands are held vertically, and the feet are next to each other. The cross was erected in 1983 by the widow Mrs. Jánosné Nemcsok after the death of her husband.
