Nagymegyer Synagogue

The first Jewish families settled in Nagymegyer in the second half of the 18th century. In 1828, 105 Jewish residents lived in the city. In that year, the community's prayer house, the synagogue, was built. Its area was 14 x 10 m, and two steps led to the women's gallery. The synagogue was demolished in 1955. Its two former supporting columns can be seen next to the memorial column on the wall of the community center.
