National flag of Nagymegyer

The local authorities had already dealt with the issue of the national flag on December 2, 1938, which Tápiógyörgye.  A settlement in Pest county intended for Nagymegyer. This ultimately did not materialize, because at the turn of the year 1938/39, the board of the Kelenvölgyi Casino approached the people of Nagymegyer with an offer, which they accepted. Based on this, on February 23, 1939, he turned to the judge of Nagymegyer, Antal Osváth. He asked that the design of the base of the national flag be prepared for the village of Nagymegyer free of charge, on the basis of which the village had the base prepared from public donations. ; The ceremonial inauguration of the national flag took place on June 4, 1939. The executive director of the “Highly Reputable National Flags National Committee” reported on its progress. His report reveals that a delegation of nearly 40 people from Kelenvöly participated in the event. Among the more distinguished guests were Mihály Végh, the executive director of the Grand Committee, Kálmán Füssy, a member of parliament from the Upper Highlands, and József Berky, the executive chairman of the Casino. The guests were welcomed at the ceremonial gate by judge Géza Németh, chief notary István Nemes, president of the EMNP Gábor Nagy, and the leaders of the two churches, Sándor Fekets, a Reformed priest, and József Marczy, a Catholic deacon. From there, the crowd marched with the flag to the two churches of the city and to Heroes' Square, and finally the ceremony continued at the flag-bearing foundation. Speeches were given by the leaders of the guests and hosts, as well as by the head teacher Pál Hencz. A cultural program was provided by the students of the two denominational schools and the Roman Catholic choir.
