(Nagymegyeri) Besnyei György (1675/6 – 1749); Descendant of a noble family. He was the last deacon of the Komjatice diocese. In addition to his pastoral work, he was also engaged in scientific work. His life's work has survived in manuscript (kept in the library of the Reformed College of Debrecen): Holy Bible, that is: Old and New Testament scripture. In 1740, "The Book of the Hundred and Fifty Psalms of Saint David" was published. Two of his prayer books were also published during his time in Madar. "Common Prayers of the Christian" (1743, ) and "War Prayers" (1745).
