Mohi Reformed Church
Building, structure
The village, located 18 kilometers north of Léva, along the Garam River, and inhabited mostly by Reformed Hungarians, was one of the settlements of the district until the mid-1970s. It was then that the decision was made to build a nuclear power plant. The construction of Soviet-type reactors required special soil. The experts found the right place at Mohinal, embraced by the foothills of the Selmec Mountains and the hills along the Garam River. The village's population was resettled in Léva and the surrounding villages, and the village's 17,077 km² area was annexed to the Kálna village in 1990. The village was demolished in 1982. Only the Reformed church, built on 17th-century foundations in 1787, and the cemetery remained. These are reminders of the fact that there was once a flourishing village in the valley.
