Péter Mészáros, at the age of 31, died a heroic death for his homeland in the Russian battle, on June 10, 1915. His family - his wife and three orphans - had their bodies brought home from the Uzhhorod cemetery. ; Those who fell on the Galician front were officially brought home with state aid in the 1920s.
