The tombstone of Miklósné Mészáros Papp Gizella
Cemeteries, tombstones, graves
In the interwar period, the village had a mixed choir with nearly a hundred members, led by the director and teacher, Jenő Boros. In 1969, the idea was born within the framework of the Friends Club to revive the singing traditions created in the first half of the 20th century in the village, so that they could sing together for their own and others' pleasure. Led by Gizella Mészáros, the enthusiastic group, which was responsible for the torchlighting, was made up of fourteen women and girls. ; The choir first performed in front of an audience in November 1969. In 1970, with new members, they performed in the district finals of the “Spring Wind…” competition as singers of the Alsószel Women’s Association. The preparation for the 1972 competition series gave rise to the idea of organizing an independent evening with a program. Then, in the 1972/73 season, men also joined the singing. The men first started in the Spring Wind in 1974, as the singing group of the Csemadok of Alsószel, and immediately brought a new color to the competition with their joint response singing. After that, they were always present at the folk song competitions, until the end of the series. ; The Alsószel Hungarian Song Circle regularly appears at the cultural events of the village and the Csemadok district events, at the Píborpiros szép rózsa folk music competition. In addition to cultivating folk songs and traditions, they also consider art songs and songs to be part of our musical culture. Every year, they organize a song evening around a song or song, tying a songbook. ; The song circle received the “Pro urbe – For the Village” award in 2006. ; Every November, a memorial service and wreath-laying ceremony is held at the cemetery in memory of the founder of the Dalkör, Miklósné Mészáros Papp Gizella, and its members who have passed away. ; ;  ,
