Gyula Mészáros, at the age of 37, died a heroic death for his homeland on August 22, 1916, in the Russian battle. His wife and children were brought home to ease their deep pain. ; ; Those who fell on the Galician front were officially brought home with state aid in the 1920s. (Reported by László Kovács.)
