Cemeteries, tombstones, graves

Szirmai and Szirmabessenyői Szirmay Mária Anna (1823-1883), her parents were Boldizsár Szirmay (1790-1856) from Szirmai and Szirmabessenyői and Mária Sturmann (1799–1831) from Ózd. ; In 1850 she married Baron Ede Mednyánszky (1823-1895) from Aranyosmedgyes. ; Born in Beczkó, Ede Mednyánszky was the brother of László Mednyánszky, a military major who was executed by Haynau, and the field chaplain Cézár, who also achieved glory in the War of Independence. At the outbreak of the War of Independence, he also had himself reactivated, serving alongside commanding officer Görgey, then in the Felduna army as a lieutenant, later as a captain. ; At the end of the War of Independence, according to some sources, he was exempted from prosecution with a letter of immunity from prosecution from the defenders of the Komárom castle, according to other sources, he was conscripted as a private and was only released in exchange for a ransom. ; After the death of Boldizsár Szirmay in 1856, the estate and the castle passed to the husband of Maria Anna's daughter, Ed Mednyánszky. The young couple - who had already had two children by then - László, one of the most prominent figures in Hungarian painting, and Margit, who later became the wife of Baron István Czóbel - only moved here from Beczkó in 1861, after the renovation of the castle... and they remained here for the rest of their lives, even László, who chose wandering and "wandering" as his particular way of life, returned here to rest, regularly finding peace here after his mental and physical exertions. ; Ede Mednyánszky tries to create the best possible conditions for the people and families entrusted to him by fate, helps them in their affairs, and if necessary, represents them. ; His daughter, Margit, writes in her memoirs that her father is constantly on the road between Beczkó and Nagyőr, so that he can take care of the affairs of both estates. The surviving documents also prove that he was a careful and attentive owner of his property. ; Mrs. Mednyánszky died of a heart attack in 1883. ; After the Compromise, Ede Mednyánszky, who also served as a member of parliament, died on July 25, 1895 in the family nest in Beczkó.
