Béla Marczell, ethnographer, museum director, and high school teacher, was born on October 14, 1924 in Kisudvarnok. He continued his high school studies in Bratislava, Dunaszerdahely, and Komárom, and then in 1950 he obtained a teaching certificate in Hungarian history from Pázmány Péter University in Budapest. He worked as a high school teacher in Dunaszerdahely. Between 1960 and 1986, he was a staff member of the Csallóköz Museum, and from 1961 to 1976, he was the director of the institution. He created the museum's first permanent exhibition, and the furnishings of several Csallóköz country houses are also linked to his name. His popularizing and informative writings have appeared in domestic and Hungarian cultural and scientific journals. The subject of his works, published in book form, is folk customs and world beliefs. ; ;  ,
