Marczell Ákos Joachim (1 Dec. 1859 in Kőhidgyarmat – 21 Jan. 1892), parish priest. ; ; Born in Kisudvarnok on 17 Mar. 1813. He completed his liberal arts and theological studies in Nagyszombat. He was ordained a priest on 26 Oct. 1837. He was forced to resign from the parish of Vicsápapát due to his political past. He proclaimed the dethronement of the Habsburg House and held a Te Deum on the occasion of the capture of Buda. On 16 July 1849, he was appointed chaplain to a camp under the command of Mór Perczel. After the War of Independence, he was stripped of his office and sentenced to three years of imprisonment in irons. He was imprisoned in Olmütz. After his release in 1854, he was interned in Esztergom, where he zealously joined the life of the Grand Chapter and was the court chaplain of Prince-Primate Szitovský. When he was allowed to work again, he served in the parish of Kőhidgyarmat until his death in 1892. ; He participated in the editing of the Universal Hungarian Encyclopedia and translated F. Hubert's handbook: A Guide for Clergy, which was published in Komárom in 1854. He was held in great love by the faithful, and he did devoted work during his many years of service in Kőhidgyarmat. His gray marble obelisk tomb is located in the Kistáta cemetery, which is surrounded by a wrought-iron fence.
