"The Hungarian Catholic Encyclopedia dates the construction of the Church of the Great Lady of the Magyars to 1911. The works probably began earlier, as it is an imposing building. The village chronicle states that the church, built in the Romanesque style, was built on the site of the old church school... It was consecrated on October 15, 1911. The main altar of the church was built by Bishop Reiner. The main altarpiece depicts the patron saint, the Great Lady of the Magyars. The Virgin Mary is dressed in a red dress and blue mantle, with the Hungarian Holy Crown on her head and a scepter in her right hand. On her left, she holds the Infant Jesus, who is holding the national apple in his hand. At the feet of the Great Lady we see an angel holding the Hungarian coat of arms, with the Esztergom Basilica in the background. To the right of the Great Lady stands a 120 cm tall, colored wooden statue of King St. Stephen, made at the beginning of the 20th century. On the head of the king He is seen wearing a crown, green clothes and a blue cloak, holding the scepter in his right hand and the Hungarian coat of arms in his left. On the left side of the picture stands the wooden statue of Saint Imre... in his hand is the lily." ; In the back of the church, on a black marble tablet, the names of the priests of Nagycsalomja from 1291 to the present day have been collected.
