Statue of Our Lady of the Hungarians

The statue was erected in 1898 by Mihály László and his wife Julianna Mészáros. The statue stood in the city center, on today's Béla Bartók Square, until 1945. It was removed from there and placed in its current location in front of the Roman Catholic parish. It was restored after the turn of the millennium. The statue was last restored in 2003 by Bishop István Bíróczi.
