Lourdes Grotto in Vők
Sacral small monument
The Lourdes grotto was built by Boldizsár Hideghéty on his own land and was consecrated on October 12, 1930. The grotto stands at the end of a small ornamental garden, with a row of chestnut trees leading to it. The grotto itself is a small stone structure, with a relief of the head of Christ crucified on the top, made by the stonemason Jenő Jakóczi. The statue of the Virgin Mary of Lourdes comes from Rome, where it was consecrated.
