On September 24, 2008, the Lourdes grotto in the inner courtyard of the Dunaszerdahely hospital was consecrated, which the parish had built with the donation of Erzsébet Malagyi from Nyitragerencsér. ; The structure, built on the model of the grotto at the Lourdes pilgrimage site, is closed by a wrought-iron gate, and inside is the famous apparition of Mary, when the Virgin Mary appears to the fourteen-year-old Saint Bernadette of Soubirous. The creation of the Lourdes grotto, consecrated by the then parish priest Róbert Kiss, was supported by both the city and the hospital management, and the grotto itself was made by Béla Kulcsár.
