István Litterati Ács was the pastor of the Nagymegyer congregation at the end of the 18th century. At this time, in 1784, the congregation purchased the land on which the Reformed church was built from István Zichy. The foundation stone was laid on September 20, 1784, and by the end of 1785 the towerless church was already standing. In 1786, he provided the church with its first sacred object, a silver chalice.
