Here / sleeps his eternal sleep / JÁNOS LÁNYI / who loved his country / Unspeakably, in 1848 as a lieutenant / He defended it with his sword. / A gentle husband, a good father, a loyal friend / He was throughout his life. / Fate surrounded him with earthly blessings / The people respected and loved him / Yet he put out a dark one / A soulful devil - his precious life, But the innocently shed blood / Asks for revenge on Cain from the heavens. / His dear companion in sorrow / Deeply loved ZSÜZSÁNNA BITTER / And you, beloved dear children / Do not seek comfort up there / God be with you! / BORN. 1804.
