Knight of the Order of the Iron Crown, 3rd class, holder of the Military Cross of Merit, 3rd class, lived for 25 years. He died a heroic death in the Battle of Lisovice in Galicia during World War I, on May 16, 1915. His parents, Károly Lakatos and Etelka Szombath, had his memorial erected.
