Vámbé1y, believing that the long economic and statistical descriptions included in his book had lost their relevance due to the Russian conquest, edited a travelogue from his original work, focusing primarily on his personal experiences, and this spread throughout the world. This was published several times in Hungarian under the title: Dervisruhában KözépAzsián át.
However, time is a strange thing: What became worthless in its time, historical distance makes interesting to us again. The outdated geographical and statistical descriptions have become a valuable historical source, which will certainly be used with great benefit by researchers of the era.
