Kulcsod Reformed Church
Building, structure
During the period of spiritual and economic prosperity, the Reformed congregation of Kulcsod became an independent parish, and in 1847 a Reformed church was built on the site of the old church building, in a classicist style, but also featuring Baroque elements. The church was rebuilt in 1885 without major changes. Its main characteristics are: a hall church, straight closure, segmental arch windows, a tower protruding from the plane of the wall, semicircular sound openings, a Baroque arched gable, and a balcony cornice. Its interior is from the 19th century. The church's monument organ, which came to the congregation from the Eastern Slovakian region, is worth mentioning: a 5-register, positive organ. The organ, which is considered a monument rarity, can be traced back to approximately the second half of the 18th century. The pine tree in front of the church was planted by the congregation in memory of the tragic death of Queen Elisabeth, the wife of Franz Joseph.
