Cemeteries, tombstones, graves

Zsigmond Kubinyi (Nyitra-Szegh, December 2, 1821 – Néver, September 2, 1880) lawyer, chief prosecutor of Nyitra County, deputy governor, royal judge of Budapest. ; Born as the second son of András Kubínyi and Rozália Tarnóczy. He was only one and a half years younger than his brother, Elek (parish priest of Német-Bólyon). His other siblings: Sándor (mayor of Nyitra), Mária, Lujza, Róza. Wife: one of his relatives, Klára Névery (daughter of Elek Névery and Mária Tarnóczy of Néver) died on March 4, 1891, at the age of 69. They were married in Néver on May 7, 1842. Their children: Géza, Coelestina, Ida, Zsigmond, Aranka, Jenő, Mária, Kálmán, Imre and Vilmos. ; He completed secondary school in Németpróna, Privigyé, Esztergom and Pécs. In 1840, after obtaining his bar certificate, he settled in Nitra as a practicing lawyer. In 1848, he was elected Chief Prosecutor of Nitra County. In the War of Independence, he was a supporter of “the more moderate party led by Széchényi. In contrast, despite his enthusiastic patriotism, he refrained from any exaggeration and did not change his political convictions even when the Russian troops who had invaded to suppress the nation completely plundered his house in Nitra.” In 1850, the German government also stripped him of his bar certificate, because some accused him of having conscripted individuals who were indicted during the War of Independence into the army as punishment. In 1867, after the compromise, he became the first vice-governor of Nyitra County. At that time, he was a staunch supporter of the Deák Party. It is thanks to him that at that time 12 Deák party representatives from the 13 districts of the county were sent to the parliament. In 1870, he was appointed a royal court judge for the Budapest royal court. ; He lost his son Géza in April 1880, and traveled to Néver for his funeral, where he contracted pneumonia. As a result, he died on September 2, 1880. He is buried in the family tomb in Néver.
