The grave of pastor József Kovács
Cemeteries, tombstones, graves
The village pastor, József Kovács, who was the second pastor of Kisújfalu after the Toleration Decree, died in 1888. Unfortunately, although he lived in the village for 54 years, very little remains of him for posterity (he lost everything in the great fire when he was 70). His family, his son József Kovács, a wheelwright, was also a resident of the village. The pastor and his first two wives are buried in the Kisújfalu cemetery, their graves are located on the right-hand side of the cemetery entrance.
