Stop at this mournful grave! / Here rests a hero / who was blessed in God, / whom the storm of the great war / brought here from a faraway land. / Here lies an unforgettable / good child / whose parents will forever weep / You were a strong oak tree / yet you left us here. / János Kosztolányi / was my name / but that too has passed with me / I lived 18 years / my good parents cry a lot for me / Don't cry my dear Father / and my sweet good Mother / maybe we will meet in the good God. / I pray for you, / that my good parents / may come to me. / The World War took your precious life / In this grave we buried with you / all our joy. / János Kosztolányi / born on December 25, 1898 / died on April 10, 1917. / May peace be upon your grave / Who suffered so much in his youth.
