Spear tree in memory of our King Saint Stephen
Statue, monument, memorial plaque
The celebration of St. Stephen's Day in Nádszeg began with a worthy commemoration on August 20, 2016. The Mátyusföld civic association for the Preservation of Hungary erected a headstone in honor of our first founding king in the square near the church. The long-cherished dream of Norbert Juhos, the president of the association, came true. After the plan was completed, the woodcarver Csaba Mórocz from Prešov set about making the work and almost poured his soul into the wood. The crowning glory of the headstone is the Hungarian Holy Crown, with which St. Stephen was directly entrusted by God to serve his people worthy of a true king. Below it is the connecting plate, and then the symbol referring to the Turul clan. The main motif of the main part is the Székely cross or Hungarian cross, which symbolizes patriotism and patriotism. Below is the Sun Disc as an archetype, then the double cross with the triple mound, which refers to the apostolic kingdom and the united Hungarian nation. The lowest motif is the seal of our King Saint Stephen. ; Let this headstone be a symbol of the unity of Hungarians across the border and the expression of national identity.
