On March 13, 2016, the headstone erected in front of the church as part of the festive commemoration of March 15, 1848, was inaugurated and consecrated during a ceremony combined with a mass. The symbols of the headstone include the village's coat of arms, its prominent motif, the pelican bird, important church symbols, and the foundation stones, which symbolize the Hungarians separated from the motherland. The ceremony was opened by the mayor of the village, Viktor Lestyánszky, and a ceremonial speech was given by Gábor Balogh, the district president of Csemadok, Gyula Pál representing the village of Tesmag, and Szabolcs Rákos, the deputy mayor of the twin settlement of Ipolyhídvég, and Bátonyterenye. The parish priest of the village, Father László Gyönyör, emphasized the cohesive power of the community. Following his speech, he solemnly consecrated the headstone erected in front of the church. Then the Ipolyhídvég Szívárvány choir, the poet László Trevalecz, and the Ipolyvece men's choir performed.
