The headstone was erected in the churchyard on March 15, 1996, by the Csemadok Szímő Foundation. The headstone was made by local woodcarver Béla Illés. ; At the inauguration ceremony, Éva Kantár, the president of the Csemadok foundation, gave an opening speech in front of the headstone, and then the Rozmaring singing group sang the Sermon. The members of the Szímő St. Martin Scouts Group stood as the ceremonial headstone. The opening speech was given by Tibor Lendvai, a history teacher. ; The motto of the festive program in the community center: “Be a steadfast devotee of your homeland…” The program was titled The Legend of the White Horse, compiled by Csaba Kantár, performed by the organization’s youth, and other participants included: the Vágkiályfai and Szőnyi zither players, and the Garabonciás dance group from Komárom. ; After the inauguration ceremony in March, the municipal office removed the headstone to the cemetery in July, as the authorities required a building permit for the monument erected on public land. After the law changed, it was returned to its original location the following year.
