Tomb of István Koós, founder and teacher of the Nagybalog choir (Balogvölgy)
Cemeteries, tombstones, graves
Teacher István Koós had versatile knowledge, but he was never proud of it. He taught the children the basics, respect for each other, faith, patriotism, and even paid great attention to culture. As a cantor teacher, he founded the four-part choir, which participated in almost every funeral, but also taught secular songs. It was a male choir, but over time their wives and sweethearts were also initiated into the joint work, because the choir had already developed into a cultural organization, which meant that they also held cultural events, performed plays, and often even took on guest roles. Teacher Koós even had a badge made for them. The choir members wore the badge very proudly.
