Kluch Palace
Building, structure
The two-story Kluch Palace was built in the Empire style between 1818 and 1821. It was built by Bishop József Kluch for the canons. His coat of arms, held by two angels, can be seen above the portal. The Atlas statue on the corner was carved by Master Lőrinc in 1820, whom the locals call Corgony. ; According to legend, Corgony was a blacksmith who was so strong that he single-handedly defended the Upper Town from the Turks. The Nitra beer was named after him.
