The memorial column erected in 2008 features a plaque commemorating the deportees, the Draskóczy family and Gyula Tasnády Nagy. ; Around 40 people from Gömörfalva were loaded into wagons at the Tornalja railway station in 1947 to perform forced labor in a foreign land, far from their homeland.
