Mihály Katona (Szatmárnémeti, 9 Oct. 1764 - Búcs, 12 May 1822) was a geographical writer and scholar. He studied in Debrecen and Germany. He first taught at the Reformed Lyceum in Komárom. From 1803 he worked as a reformed preacher in Búcs. He wrote several books on natural and geographical topics.
