Lourdes grotto in front of Katkó house
Sacral small monument
The cave in front of the Katkó house (no. 334) is located in the small garden of the house, between the two windows of the building, exactly below them. The Lourdes cave is similar to the above (see Szliacky's Heart of Mary cave, Sáfránykert Street Lourdes cave). It was made by József Katkó and his wife, Erzsébet Szabó. In fact, this is also a picture cabinet-like creation, which can be seen on a three-step stone foundation. There is an iron railing on both sides of the staircase. The three sides of the cabinet are glazed, and the frames are made of brown-painted iron. The front can be opened, the back is closed. The statue of the Virgin Mary also stands in a brown semicircular frame equipped with lighting fixtures. The rectangular structure has a semicircular zinc cover on top, with an iron cross on it. Mary stands in a robe decorated with a gold border and tied with a blue belt, with her hands clasped in prayer and a rosary.
