Monument to the first written mention of the village of Kamocsa

On the occasion of the 600th anniversary of the first written mention of the village of Kamocsa (which, according to the research of the Heraldic Institute, can be dated to 1416), the local government had a monument erected in the park in the center of the village, on which the stonework was done by Bertók Ľuboš, the wrought-iron coat of arms of the village by Bertók István, and the granite memorial plaque under the coat of arms was made by the Pogrányi stonemasonry company with the following inscription: ; ; Medieval settlement ; In the first written records, it is mentioned as Kamacha from 1416, later Kamocha (1460), Kamocscha (1786), Kamoča (1927), Komoča (1948), in Hungarian as Kamocsa. ; Let us know our past, let us preserve our roots in the future too! ; ; The monument was unveiled on the 14th Village Day by Mayor Valéria Lukács and Deputy Mayor Imre Lukács, and consecrated by the local Reformed pastor, Rev. Attila Sasák.
